PresidentAdam Thompson, PhD, LAT, ATC The President position is a two-year term and serves as the leader and chief spokesperson for the IATA. | President ElectRebecca (Becky) Clifton, MS, LAT, ATC, CKTP In addition to learning the process of being the IATA President and assisting that person, the IATA President Elect serves as Chair of the Elections Committee, and acts as a liaison to the Indiana State Medical Association - Commission on Sports Medicine. Other duties include serving on the Budget Committee and oversight of the student representative position within the IATA Executive Council. Time commitment includes attending IATA EC monthly meetings, staying abreast of communications between EC meetings. This is a 2 year term prior to serving as president. |
SecretaryJenny Deranek, PhD, LAT, ATC The IATA Secretary is an elected position serving on the IATA Executive Council (EC). The elected term is 2 years. The Secretary is responsible for attending monthly IATA EC meetings. The Secretary is responsible for submitting a monthly membership report detailing IATA membership category numbers, as well as taking meeting minutes and distributing the minutes to the EC members and the Association Management Company. Additionally, the Secretary maintains and updates the IATA Policy and Procedures document, the IATA By-Laws document, and the IATA membership directory. The membership directory is received by the GLATA Secretary each month. The Secretary also serves on the IATA Budget Committee and the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association Secretary/Treasurer Committee. Both of these committees typically meet one time per year. | TreasurerTiffany Franklin, EdD, LAT, ATC Franklin College The Treasurer works with the AMC and IATA Committees in constructing a yearly budget. The Treasurer works with the AMC to assist in the daily financial functions of the association. This includes processing payments and deposits. This is a 2 year elected term. |
